Key Factors on Rates

• Program and Video Requirements:

The core concept, style, and scale of the project drive the budget. This includes pre-production planning (scripting and storyboarding), crew size (directors, camera operators, and sound technicians), location fees, and on-screen talent.

• Equipment Need:

Technical specifications dictate gear costs. Projects require specific cameras, lenses, lighting kits, and audio recorders, which are billed via daily or hourly rental rates depending on whether standard or high-end cinema gear is used.

• Length of Production: Time impacts the budget in two distinct ways:

1. Shoot Duration: More days on set mean paying daily rates for the crew and equipment for a longer period.

2. Video Runtime: A longer finished video requires more footage review and significantly more hours of editing, sound design, and color grading.
